Geostorm – Brand New Trailer!

Does anyone remember the last time a natural disaster film was any good? I know a lot of people will point to The Day After Tomorrow as the most recent torch-bearer, but there’s very little substance once you peel back the wafer-thin top layer, and the less said about some of the other films in that genre, the better.

Geostorm looks to be attempting to modernise the standard plot by merging it with a hint of Terminator, as technology decides to destroy the Earth for one reason or another.

The latest trailers to show off the end of the world looks like a convoluted CGI mess, featuring plenty of people running away from thunderstorms, snow storms, hail storms and (for those in desert regions) sand storms.

I think that it’s safe to say, you will have seen 99% of these clips before in any other natural disaster film. Maybe save your money and go see something else when this comes out.

Geostorm is out in cinemas later this year!

Atomic Blonde – Brand New Teaser!

All you need to know about this film is that Charlize Theron and James McAvoy are in it. Together.

Oh you want more?

OK. Atomic Blonde revolves around one of the deadliest assassins on the hunt by other bad guys.

Like the female version of John Wick (funnily enough, JW director David Leitch chairs this too), I just want this movie in and around my eyeballs. What do you think?

Rough Night – Brand New Trailer!

We’ve all had one of those nights that have careened out of control  and there have been many movies that have focused on it. Rough Night is yet another one of those movies but with a seriously dark turn…

In the best comedy lady line up I can think of (Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoe Kravitz,), the movie revolves around five friends from college who reunited for a wild bacherlotte party in Miami only to have events spiral out of control when they kill the stripper…

Reminiscent of the seriously underrated Bacherlorette, this could be a punchy and satisfying comedy with an original twist to it. What do you think?
