Maudlin and comatose indie band The Smiths have populated our music with their sorrow-filled genre of depression pop since the 80s. Led by the rebellious quaffed Morrissey, they have been a successful morose led band.
So that definitely warrants a biopic about them, right?
England is Mine is an already celebrated biopic about Steven Patrick Morrissey and his early life during the 1970s in Manchester. Starrng Jessica Brown Findlay, Jodie Comer, and Jack Lowden (in the lead role,) this showcases how The Smiths really formed.
As someone who isn’t the biggest fan of The Smiths, this seems rather boring. And also, aren’t all music biopics basically the same now?
What do you think?
