Years ago, the found footage horror Cloverfield made a splash. Utilising the formula well (with cinemas having to warn people of nausea and more from the film,) the tense and compelling film was genius. The 2016 follow-up 10 Cloverfield Lane was an interesting sequel but brilliant nonetheless.
Today, Netflix announced the latest sequel, with trailer, and shocked everyone. Why? Because tomorrow morning it’ll already be available.
The film by Julius Onah is led by Gugu Mbatha-Raw and sees a space station plagued by an unknown alien identity.
With Daniel Bruhl and Chris O’Dowd, this looks to be amazing. Now watch as everyone scrambles to watch and review!
The Cloverfield Paradox is out 5th February in Netflix
10 Cloverfield Lane surprised me–I really liked it. I thought it stretched the borders of sci-fi/horror by focusing on suspense so it had the feel and intimacy of really good Twilight Zone episode. I’m somewhat skeptical about Paradox though so I think I’ll wait on the reviews.
