Icons are not made like they used to be. With images of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean forever imprinted in our culture, the fascination with the past is not wearing. One such Icon of the screen was actress, Blonde bombshell and sex symbol Jayne Mansfield.


From her accelerated rise to fame to her tragic early death. Her incredible looks secured her place as an actress, yet it was her public image, personal relationships and media controversies that made her an icon. New documentary Mansfield 66/67 aims to uncover the truth behind the starlet.

Directed by P. David Ebersole and Todd Hughes the film tries to read through the rumour and hearsay to just who Mansfield really was.

The film is in selected cinemas now.
