Unbelievably there are still retreats out there that are dedicated to converting homosexual teenagers back to heterosexuality. Not only is this dangerous and cruel but it is also not a thing and impossible.

The Miseducation of Cameron Post , directed by Desiree Akhavan (Appropriate Behaviour,) sees one particular teen going through this retreat.

Based on a book by Emily D Manforth and led by Chloe Frace Mortez, the film revolves around the titular character who is sent to a conversion camp after being caught with a friend at prom. Whilst there, she is forced to be subjected to a harsh therapy tryingto turn her straight.

We caught this film at Sundance Film Festival London and it is phenomenal. This may be one of the best films of the year.  What do you think?

The Miseducation of Cameron Post is out 31st August
