Of all the films affected by the pandemic, there is perhaps no film that has been messed around with more than No Time to Die. Getting delayed even before Covid threw a spanner in the works, Cary Fukunaga’s entry into the Bond canon has been pushed from release date to release date, with rumours of further delays cropping up as recently as a few weeks ago.
However, it looks like MGM are holding firm with their 30th September release in the UK, and have even dropped a new trailer for us to feast our eyes on.
In Daniel Craig’s final outing, the world’s most iconic spy is put to the test when life with his new love Madeline is not quite as it seems. On top of that, he finds himself face to face with his apparent replacement (Lashana Lynch) and on a mission to stop an evil dictator (Rami Malek), who many fans have speculated is the return of the first villain faced on screen by Sean Connery, Dr No.
This final trailer gives us everything we could possibly want; dazzling spectacle, gorgeous shots, dizzying action and a look in with our favourites like Ben Whishaw’s Q, as well as new characters played by Ana de Armas and Lynch. Lynch in particular looks like she’s going to be an excellent addition, despite what idiots on the internet might tell you…
And best of all? All of this teasing and excitement won’t be too agonizing with the knowledge that it’s less than a month away. Fans will be delighted when it finally hits the big screen. It’s probably best that we don’t get our expectations too high given the huge delays, but the film does look completely thrilling.
No Time to Die is out in UK cinemas 30th September, and 8th October in the US.
