God’s Own Country is gob-smackingly good, a raw and emotional study of a young farmer, Johnny (Josh O’Connor, sensational) who falls in love with a Romanian worker, Gheorghe (Alec Secareanu, fantastic) in a tumultuous surprise to himself.
